DnD Thursday Episode 58(242) Oct 18th, 2018 (Ches 6, 1490)

“WHEN LAST WE LEFT TEAM DEEP HAMMERS,
AND THOSE LUCKY ENOUGH 
TO WONDER INTO THEIR PATH, 
THE TEAM WAS DOING BATTLE 
WITH FIVE EEEEEEVIL FLAMESKULLS,
THEIR COURAGEOUS HOPE … 
TO … TO … 
EXCUSE ME …  
WHAT EXACTLY WAS THE GROUP HOPING TO GAIN
FROM BATTLING FIVE FLAMESKULLS?
THE TIME IS 1200 HOURS, THE 6TH OF CHES (MARCH), 1490

These notes are a bit short as I'm super busy. Also, I'm moving the notes to BLOGGER 
as Google Sites has moved on to a new format and 
my old sites are now taking FOREVER to update.
NOTE - damage to monsters is tracked on my new 
Monster Damage Table 
so don't worry if the damage in the notes is missing a few things, 
it's all in the table.

The team continued battling 3 remaining of 5 flame skulls in Room 19 ... 

ROUND 5 (ROOM 19)

1. > FLORA – SACRED FLAME – missed (fooey!) 
2. > HERBAK – fires SACRED FLAME at FS1 for 10 hp of damage
3. > LLYRIN –  toasted FS4 for 13 damage 
4. > VERALT – Now DIS on attacks against LLYRIN; immune to charm
5. > GILAM –  ACID ARROW – hits for 11 hp and 2d4 end of its next turn, ducks behind doorway
6. > CLOVER –  flickers out of view surrounded by a shimmering sphere of energy
7. > FS 1  -  fires MM at LLYRIN for 4 hp of force damage
8. > FS 2  -  (TURNED 5/10) https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/flameskull
9. > FS 3  -  (TURNED 5/10) https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/flameskull
10. > ARGUS – stunned that his plan didn’t work for 4 rounds 
     a. SCREAMS and attacks 
     b. Takes 7 HP damage lightning damage as he crosses the ELECTRIFIED FLOOR
     c. Uses his command thingy – VERALT fires his hold out blaster (damage on hit table) 
11. > FS 4 -  DEAD 
12. > FS 5 -  DEAD

ROUND 6 (ROOM 19)

1. > FLORA – SACRED FLAME 
2. > HERBAK – SACRED FLAME @SF#2 – failure 
3. > LLYRIN –  Bow – ready action for when next one is engage. 
4. > VERALT – Throws a rock 
5. > GILAM – Launches a rock at FS#2 – FS2 takes 11 BLD damage
6. > CLOVER –  (idle)
7. > FS 1  -  DEAD
8. > FS 2  -  casts FIREBALL into the hallway – 27 hp to Flora, 13 to Gilam 
9. > FS 3  -  (TURNED 6/10) https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/flameskull
10. > ARGUS – MOVES back to the doorway – blows the whistle – creates cats in his backpack
11. > FS 4 -  DEAD  
12. > FS 5 -  DEAD  

ROUND 7 (ROOM 19)

1. > FLORA – outside the door, pulls a disk out of her backpack and put it on the floor – (disk of shielding 10’ radius mobile dome of force) – 9 can fit inside with Flora, can’t cast through it but can move through it freely – duration; pull out ointment and put on burns 
2. > HERBAK – takes a step back, VERALT @6hp – cure wounds @2nd level - +9hp, move back to doorway inside the shield 
3. > LLYRIN – takes a shot at the engaged FS2 (bow) -5hp piercing 
4. > VERALT – concentrate ALTERNATE REALITY – Herbak rerolls SAVE – YAY!!  13 vs 27
     a. Move forward and attack – whip misses 
5. > GILAM –  STEPS OUT OF THE HUT – points his (???) at a broken piece of skeleton, casts CATAPULT – and steps back in after doing 17 hp of damage 
6. > CLOVER –  (idle)
7. > FS 1  - DEAD
8. > FS 2  -  7hp force damage from MM and LYRIN
9. > FS 3  -  (TURNED 7/10) https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/flameskull
10. > ARGUS – attending to the 4 cats and put them back in the backpack – the cats are IN the bag 
11. > FS 4 -  DEAD 
12. > FS 5 -  DEAD

ROUND 8 (ROOM 19)

1. > FLORA – gets out of the dome, casts SHATTER, FS saves CON save, half damage  
2. > HERBAK – makes his way into the room inside the door, SACRED FLAME fail … -5 radiant
3. > LLYRIN –  bow shot shatters the skull to powder!!! 
     a. Cunning action dash – gets outta there … heads down to the library at full speed.
