When last we left Team Food for Wyrms,
the party had taken on several new members
only to immediately begin losing them to the
grabby fore-legs of an infestation of Retriever Spider Constructs
EEEEWW!!
I'm sure this will all work out just fine.
Seriously.
SCENE 01
ROUND 2
NEGAN and CARATACUS have been carried away by very big, scary construct spiders, known as RETRIEVERS which have disappeared down the central shaft of the cavern. Next move, Team Food for Wyrms?(JUSTIN - LISTEN TO AUDIO FOR DETAILS)
GRUMBLEBELLY (1) - JUMPS DOWN onto the R4 with CARATACUS (with swearing) as he falls
. wild shapes into a squirrel and jumps 17 feet below the retriever.
NEGAN (1) - while checking out a vein if what looked like gold running through the rock next to him, Negan was snatched by a Retriever.🕷️
ROUND 3
E'SSL (22) - Dives at R4, sword aimed, hits for 14 points of damage, athletics to stick it to the huge metallic bug; Acrobatics succeed to keep him on the construct, next punching it for 10 more points of damage.RET 1 (20) - attacks, but misses Andrea with PARALYZING RAY.
RET 2 (18) - misses Jettisyn (Aka "Jetti") with PARALYZING RAY
SHAMIRA (17) - staggers back in shock
JETTISYN (16) - attacks R4(has Caratacus) @20' - it fails its save for 13 damage from ICE KNIFE, 5' square frozen
ANDREA (15) - attacks R1
>> SWAMPCHILL the flying sword; Nat20!!! for 16 points of damage!
>> Sneak Attack @R4 with shortbow for a total of 13 hp
JEDEVES (13) - falls on some slimy mold while making a lunging attack.
CARATACUS (8) -
>> Tries to break free ... STR check = 1&1 ... +7=8 ... Ties the spider @8 - Breaking Loose didn't work
>> Second attempt ... fails.
>> Third attempt - breaks free, falls through the WALL OF WATER into the webbing below.
RET 3 (6) - moves at half speed downward, has done no harm to NEGAN ... Hmmmm
RET 4 (6) - can't shake free of the block of ice,
RET 5 (3) - fell into the cavern depths earlier
TARIC (2) - (per Sam) tries to dive onto the Retriever who has NEGAN - hits R3 with longsword for 12 damage
GRUMBLEBELLY (1) - climbs the webbing as a squirrel, he turns back into a dwarf and then climbs the wall back up toward where the rest of the party are, on the main column of stone that runs through the center of the cavern.
NEGAN (1) - swings at the spider who's got him and ...
We will pick up here next time ...
RET 3 (6) - moves at half speed downward, has done no harm to NEGAN ... Hmmmm
RET 4 (6) - can't shake free of the block of ice,
