INTRODUCTION
When last we left our brave band of
"stranded on a creepy island" adventurers,
they'd made their way over the river and through the lava rocks
through fast flowing and bloodied waters
to stand in relative safety upon a sandy point,
above which loomed a rather ominous castle.

SCENE ONE - EXPLORING
From the Island
- NES makes a passage from the little island to the point.
- NATURE CHECK - the water looks fine, no obvious creepy life forms swimming in it
- OLOTUI makes the crossing - carries Emery & Ekun (can carry up to 320#)
- Emery casts Prestidigitation on Olotui, making him dry.
- The rest of the party crosses uneventfully
- After some investigation, they group decides to go into the cave
- OLOTUI tastes the sand outside the cave (blech!) - this sand is soaked with the blood of many different species, and tells the party of his findings.
- DM NOTE - Party might want to watch Nothing But Trouble ...
- OLOTUI looks for tell-tale tracks
- (15) Finds tracks ahead where the sand transitions into rock
- YESDI looks up and down the beach for a location where ships/boats might dock
- Fog blocks much of your view, but with the exception of landing small boats in the sand, no real place to land larger boats/ships.
- The channel running to the left is too shallow for larger ships.
- OLOTUI skirts along the edge of the rocks to the NE and CAREFULLY works to determine where the footprints lead.
- Clear clawed humanoid tracks leading into the cave, and the creatures leaving the tracks seem to have been moving about feverishly.
- The further toward the interior of the cave you move, the more intense the stench from within.
- With no clear options outside the cave, the party decides to pass on opportunities to climb the cliffs and heads into the creepy cave.
Into the Cave
- OLOTUI is casting BONFIRE at 60, then every 30 at 90, 120 and 150' from the mouth
- As the group moves forward, they discover a few "artifacts" in the muck:

- A <10 year old pocket watch of nautical design
- Engraved: "From your dearest Michelle" - seems human, a few surface scratches

- A nice bone handled dagger with chewing marks on the bone handle
- Made in Cimber, created sometime in the last 5 to 10 years
- (EKUN)
- writes up receipt for NES for the two daggers :)
- (EMERY)
- A strange multi-bladed dagger-like sort of weapon -
- 2' blade with multiple branching blades
- At 150 into the tunnel, the corridor turns roughly 90' left
- At 50' after the turn, two stone outcroppings partially block the path of the 30' (ish) wide tunnel
- (width is somewhat variable)
- Beyond the stone outcroppings, some sort of bi-pedal creatures feast on body parts
GHOULS!!
- NESDALYNN moves forward to see if she can communicate with the flesh-chomping creatures, but they turn and attack.
- GHOUL 1 dives at YESDI but only makes it half way, impaled through its clawed feet on spikes SPIKE GROWTH cast by OLOTUI in a 20' radius centered on the gap in the stone outcropping) - takes 13 piercing damage
- GHOUL 2 also tries to leap over the stone obstacle toward the advancing party and also takes damage on the spikes - takes 3 piercing damage
- GHOUL 1 leaps off the spike and into the sand to it's right (facing you), unsure of where to move next
