INTRODUCTION
When last we left Team Food for Worms
The party had embarked with ZENTHA TRYSLYN,
on an overland journey to LONGSADDLE
powered, by all things, by 90 suits of ANIMATED ARMOR
The journey of about 170 miles is estimated to take
three days, with the AA's powering platforms on which
the party will be carried.
What could possibly go wrong?

SCENE 01 - AND THEN
Having turned over Mirabar to the converted Dwarf pirates running the city as a refugee camp for escapees from the undead invasion, the party is headed south to Longsaddle, supported on platforms carried by animated armor. This trip will take 24 hours of non-stop travel.
Donnernok and Gilimba are headed to Longsaddle with the party.Just north of the Lurkwood, headed south

WATCHES
FIRST DAY
E'ssl sleeps on a platform but spends his awake time walking on his own.The effect of 90 suits of animated armor in a column headed south makes quite an effect on anyone in the area of the unit as it moves. Impressive.
Andrea (night) and E'ssl (day) do some scouting ahead of the column.
Nick(Kelevra) has first watch then Brendan (Balgri) 2nd take watch (8hr watches)
Kelevra keeps an eye on the forest to the east as the party moves south along the road
- HR 1 - The scout and watch notice movement in the forest to the east.
- HR 2 - Kelevra - nothing is noticed
- HR 3 - Kelevra - sees movement in the forest off to the North/East, running parallel
- HR 3 >> Passes this information along to the group periodically
- HR 4 - Kelevra - doesn't notice anything (eating on the go)
- HR 5 - Kelevra doesn't notice anything ... "they're definitely gone" (those who might have been following)
- HIGAR - (perc 8+5=13) doesn't notice anything
- REI-KAI - paying attention to the area immediately around the group
- E'SSL - scouting ahead - notices something suspicious off to the left in the woods - there's something over there. (PERC 25)
- >> Activates See Invisibility and Detect Magic - headed toward woods
- >> Notices something hiding in the bushes (not invisible or magic, but hiding)
- "I see you there, in the bush. Come out! (common)
- >> See largish humanoid moving rapidly in the bushes, away from you.
- >> Reports back to the group.
- The group discusses - something seems to be watching us and following us (for several hours)
- >> Group's best guess is that it was a bugbear
- E'SSL - "Let's yell loudly at them, and they'll be INTIMIDATED by us
- As the group moves forward
- HR 7 (E'SSL (16) & KELEVRA (7)) - there's something still over in the woods tailing you
- E'SSL - "We see you over there, we mean you know harm, but you should stop trying to sneak up on us, or we might have to kill you"
FIRST NIGHT
- ANDREA takes over scouting, Balgri's watch
- Getting dark, hills passing into the distance behind you, a bit more of a gap to the left to the edge of the forest.
- Going into darkness ... about 1/6 of the way down, next to the Lurkwood, but with a gap
- DARK HR 1 (9) - scouting more in the direction of the Lurkwood (PERC 7 & 18) - NOTHING first hour
- DARK HR 2 (10) - (PERC 23 & 24) - 50-60 yards out, something moving
- BALGRI - "What! I see you over there! You better run!"
- DARK HR 3-8 (11-16) - sporadic spottings through the night, but nothing aggressive. Every other hour or so, something off to the left continues to shadow the party. Flat, high-grass between the party and the edge of the forest.
- MOSS AND E'SSL on watch/scout
- Looking along the edge of the forest as you proceed down the road
- MOSS (PERC=8) Clustered next to the forest and trailing back into the forest is a gathering of HOBGOBLINS & BUGBEARS - A few dozen: weapons bristling, they're definitely watching you, puzzled to see the column, not sure of what you are, noisy, bigger group than they are. They hang back, checking out the column as it moves.
CONFRONTATION
- Watching the war-band as you continue to move south, falling slightly behind the party, about a dozen BUGBEARS break from the rest at double speed to attack the back of the group.
- It will take 3 rounds (60' / ROUND) for them to reach you.
- 2 dozen more hang back, not moving.

- JEDEVEZ (10, but FIRST MOVE) - STAFF OF THUNDER & LIGHTNING - casts LIGHTNING STRIKE @ BUGBEARS (FAIL)
- >> 9d6 LIGHTNING DAMAGE for 29 points of toasting damage!!! 3 Bugbears are completely evaporated by this gigantic bolt of lightning, disppearing in a cloud of red steam!!
- E'SSL (25) chooses to stay in the middle of the party and dead stare at the 24 or so that hung back by the forest - INTIMIDATION move
- GILIMBA - Some of the ANIMATED ARMORS start moving toward the bugbears
- HIGAR (21) - 3 of 7 remaining attackers are now 60' away (out of range, even if walking forward)
- >> Hold action until they are within 15' - BREATH WEAPON
- ANDREA (18) - 3 of 7 remaining attackers are now 60' away (not yet engaged)
- >> Hold attack until the first one engages with bow shot
- @JED (12) -10 PIERCING DAMAGE
- @KEL (16) MISS, but Kelevra dives into the damage to keep his rage going - 4 PIERCING
- @BAL (20!!) -18 PIERCING DAMAGE (TO 48)
- MOSS (11) - HOPS down and attacks the attackers, 60' dash
- JEDEVES (10) - CROSSBOW @ closest attacker -2 DAMAGE
- KELEVRA (8) - runs 60' to the middle attacker and this one is now engaged
- >> Trigger's ANDREA's sneak attack (23) for -17 damage
- BALGRI (6) - RAGE - throws (??) at them (19) for -24 damage
