SCENE 01 - When Carefully ...
ROUND 1
LLYRIN: Whistles to get the attention of the people in the middle of the room> Casts PASS WITHOUT A TRACE
> Signals GET DOWN
HERBAK: "Let's move off the platform and to the side (invisible) and observe" ... to the SOUTH, "and smash the eggs if things go badly (or perhaps just before they go badly)"
NOTE - ARGUS is 125' from the event horizon of the sphere in the center of the room
GILAM:
AURORA: Moves 30' closer to the approaching badness; PREPARES ACTION for when the badness appears
NOTE - LARGE metallic spiders will appear through the event horizon of the sphere first, followed by Death Knight's and Beholder Zombies's, followed by skeletons; the elephant was dispelled prior to this scene.
VERALT: CONSIDERS moving off the platform, casts TEMPORAL TRANSFUSION (AURORA, ARGUS) - concentration for 1 hour (they now go on their turns and on Veralt's turn) and becomes visible, and attempts to move stealthily behind the teleportation circle as he proceeds
> STEALTH CHECK - OK, but not great
HERBAK: (invisible for up to the next hour) Takes the egg, grips it firmly, readies the egg, moves SOUTH at normal move rate and observes closely what's going on.
GILAM: uses SPIDER CLIMB to go up the wall
FLORA: (invisible) moves SOUTH and keeping eyes on the action, in the direction of VERALT, facing the escape route, glancing over shoulder to keep an eye on the sphere
ARGUS: (with Aurora) looking to protect the rear of the group as they withdraw
> Moves toward baddies, spreading out from FLORA, puts a bonfire between baddies and self
LOGISTICS BREAK AS JUSTIN DEALS WITH ZOOM/TEAMS ISSUES
LLYRIN has gathered the others together at the base of the cliff
NAUTI: uses an artifact to cast WALL OF FORCE to create a protective dome
MR MUSTER: hides behind WoF
SWIG: stealthily climbs the wall
TEAL: unseen by anyone yet, TEAL (what happened next was inaudible on the recording)
ALL RETRIEVERS: move @20 out of the TELEPORTATION SPHERE, scanning the area as they emerge, in no particular hurry.
ROUND 2
INITIATIVE!!HERBAK22: (invisible) Moves 30' south, prepared to break egg if things hit the fan; watching the sphere
LLYRIN21: sprint toward Veralt and CUNNING ACTION hide under the platform, next to VERALT (dash)
> 70 ft(3 squares) ... 31 on his check ... wow
AURORA20: Moves forward 20' (1 square)
> CL(with Aurora) - apparently unconscious
> Tosses Clover toward Flora as she moves forward, landing about half way between A and F
NAUTI20: WoF is still up (10 min, concentration) [STAFF OF POWER]
MM19: remains behind the WoF; Bonus Action HIDE (24 (pass without a trace is on))T1?: Uses CLOAK OF DISPLACEMENT (DIS on attacks)
GILAM18: Climbs the wall, tops the cliff; HIDE (19); keeping an eye on the scene
VERALT16: (visible, hiding behind stone circle) flickers in place
> ARGUS: Makes a rousing speech, hammers his hammer on his shield (all who can see or hear him get 8 temporary hit points) - everyone in the group gets the +8 temp HP
> AURORA: Moves forward 1 square (normal speed)
SWIG5: (AW $#!+) - panics
FLORA2: Moves S/W and makes it to the edge of the platform
AR0: Tries to move to get even with Aurora, continues rousing speech, readies +3 Hammer of Awesomeness;
RETRIEVERS: Move 20' out and just emerging from the event horizon of the sphere 1 DEATH KNIGHT and 1 BEHOLDER ZOMBIE
> RETRIEVERS: SEEING Argus and Aurora, each fires a FORCE BEAM
>> ARGUS: DEX Save - misses Argus with it's force beam shot
>> AURORA: DEX Save 19 - misses Aurora with it's force beam shot
