and the Revivitor Orb,
two steps closer to probing the secrets which
lie at the center of the mysterious appearance of swarming armies of undead
beneath the great cities of Faerun.

>>> Trapped, the door rapidly spins 180 degrees, trapping ANDREA in a short passage leading to a 2nd door which is contact poisoned.

>> NOTE - the door in the NE corner is now a large 10' diameter whole in the ground - it can be jumped or spanned with effort.
>> In the center of the NORTH wall is a second door in that wall
>>> This 2nd door in the NORTH wall is only stuck, not locked or trapped
>> CARATACUS gives the door a wail and knocks it open
>>> Peers through the doorway into the next room (#10)
>>>> Sees a door in the SW corner and about half way down the wall, an archway, and in the NORTH wall, a wooden portcullis. No writing on the wall, no features in the room it's clear.

EXPLORING ROOM 10
>> SHAMIRA peers into the room and sees a pile of rubble back in the NE corner of the room
>> ANDREA recognizes the stairwell beyond the archway in the EAST wall and a small room to the north (Room 8)
>> The door in the SW corner is a stone door (appears to be locked)
EXPLORING ROOM 8
>> SHAMIRA investigates the pile of rubble in the NE corner with CARATACUS, who looks around the room
>> CARATACUS notes to the south an archway that leads to the stairs (mentioned above), a locked wooden door in the SE corner, another wooden portcullis in the NORTH wall, west side, and simple wooden door at the NORTH end of the WEST wall.
>> The pile of rubble in this room looks like it happened recently, since the party passed this way on their original way down
>> SHAMIRA investigates (14) the pile of rubble, with CARATACUS and ANDREA, JEDEVES is hanging back (as party healer)
>>> Looks around the edges of the rubble - fell in the last few days, there's a mixture of stone from the ceiling above, but there appears to be smashed wooden members buried in the stone, but not part of the structure.

>>> The stones appear to be movable with relative ease
>> ANDREA checks the rubble for traps (21) - the wood under the stone appears to be the smashed remains of a heavy wooden chest and that the collapse appears to have been the result of a trap being triggered. The chest appears to have fallen into this room from above.

EXPLORING UP THE STAIRS
ANDREA, SHAMIRA and CARATACUS head up the stairs to explore how things look up there

>>> Sees a room like #7 and 8 on the level below has collapsed and would take some very careful going to get out this way
>> On this floor, there's only one other set of stairs and they lead down
>> NOTE - E'ssl can go through stone walls if a new way out of the sub-levels is required

The party decides to go through room 8 and look through the wooden door into room 4

The floor is covered with candles ... Jagged steel blades project from cracks in the NORTH wall
>> What is that?
>>> In the middle of the room there's a dark, uneven irregular shape
>>> An insight check (9) suggests that this dark shape in the middle of the room is bad news
>> The party weighs their options as to how to proceed ... is there a good option?
>> Leave the door from Room 8 to Room 4 cracked open
>> CARATACUS, ANDREA and SHAMIRA circle back to room 10 to peer through the wooden portcullis into Room 4 from the south.
>>> On the floor lies a female dwarf lying on her side, blood on the floor next to her head.
>> CARATACUS makes a NATURE check (10)
>>> Best guess is that she's still alive and that the thing lying next to her is a CLOAKER.
