DnD Thu Ep#74(284) Played Apr 18, 2019 (Ches 8, 1490) A WAY OUT

INTRODUCTION

Well, well, well ...
Welcome BACK Team Deep Hammers
Having advanced from being separated into FOUR different areas
the expanding team of adventurers has managed to merge a bit
so that they are now in only THREE different areas.
MOST of the party is in or adjacent to a room where they are battling TWO WRAITHS.
MR MUSTER is ALL ALONE in a dark place having triggered a revolving door trap
as her chamber mates wondered off to find some wraiths to fight
And ARIEL, the unconscious CLOVER and their new ELEPHANT FRIEND
are exploring a meandering corridor,
in hopes of finding ... a way out, perhaps,
of the mysterious and somewhat hazardous dungeon in which they now find themselves.
We rejoin the action now as MR MUSTER
deals with being ALL alone in a dark place.

SCENE 01 - COME TOGETHER, RIGHT NOW


ROOM 24 "ANNEX" & MR MUSTER: 


  • Finding yourself in dark space (and you don't have darkvision, right?) 
  • What do you do?
    • ACTIONS
      • Look around on all fours going down the corridor - heads down 30
  • WHEN SUDDENLY you step on a trap door and find yourself sliding, sliding, sliding down a slick, surprisingly slippery, soft, smooth stone slide, landing KERPLUNK!!! in the midst of a group of people who seem to be doing battle with TWO WRAITHS!!
  • ... WHERE we will rejoin you momentarily.

ROOM 8 CORRIDOR & AROURA, CLOVER & THE ELEPHANT

  • With a halfling over your shoulder, trailing a cooperative elephant, ARIEL carefully makes her way through a snaking 10' wide, 10' tall corridor until she reaches a simple wooden door (WEST wall of ROOM 31), through which, as she approaches, she is able to hear several people speaking common. 
  • What do you do?
    • ACTIONS

        • cover with blanket 
      • PREPARING TO ATTACK WRAITH AT END OF TURN 


ROOM 31: 


  • THE REST OF THE PARTY now finds itself in the room with 2 WRAITHS who, after a few seconds of exposure to the REVIVITOR STONE, disappear through the far wall of the room ... WRAITHS are like that. 
  • THE PARTY of 11 plus an elephant introduces itself to itself
    • MUSTS 
      • The backstory for MR MUSTER, NAUTI and SWIG
        • ACTIONS
          • NAUTI - CAST MM @ WRAITH FROM NAUTI
          • SWIG - CAST BARK SKIN ON THE BEAR
            • step away from the door - to NAUTI - "you got this"
  • LLYRIN - preps dodge action as the turned wraith moves out the wall 
  • FLORA- wand of magic missiles @ the wraith that hasn't left yet
    • the wraith bolts east wall 
  • L - more guests!!??  Everyone's joining us 
  • SWIG - "I don't speak common" 
  • G - frowns at the entourage - looking on east wall for something that will swivel 
  • A - introduces herself to the rest of the group - pick and carry clover and bring in the elephant
  • DM NOTE - MORE DETAIL HERE ON THE RECORDING WILL BE ADDED LATER.

FROM ROOM 31:

  • GILAM find a secret door in the NORTH wall and while pursuing that and the 30' corridor leading north from it, trips a trap that dumps the party into the next room, with GILAM and ????? take a bit of ELEPHANT SQUASH damage. 

ROOM 12: 

  • SLAMMING unceremoniously into the ground of ROOM 12, finding yourself in a 70' wide (E/W), 110' long (N/S) room, with one door on the NORTH wall in the NW corner. 
  • The floor of this room is littered with the mangled, bloodstained, rotting corpses of 20 Dwarves and Duergar.
  • They all clearly died violently 
  • At an inconvenient moment, 20 SPECTERS drift through the walls (5 from each side)

  • The SPECTERS flee at the sight of the REVIVITOR stone
  • AURORA makes her way to the door at the NORTH end of the room and opens it easily, discovering a hewn set of stone stairs going down into a cavern.
