DnD Monday #63(309) Played 2019 10 28 - TO LONGSADDLE (Tarsakh 3rd, 1490)

INTRODUCTION

When last we left Team Food For Worms, 

they were giving a very hard time to a wondering war band 

of dazed and confused Bugbears and Hobgoblins,

about to prove decisively that they ARE 

the baddest asses on the road to Longsaddle.

We rejoin the group now as they continue 
dishing it out to the now abandoned 
detachment of hobgoblins and bugbears unfortunate enough 
to have make the acquaintance of 
Team Food for Worms ...

Tarsakh 4th, 1490

SCENE 01 - When Suddenly!!!

• As the party prepares to finish off the last of the attacking hobgoblins and bugbears, they notice that the attackers freeze in their tracks, staring up in the sky above and behind the party. 
• As the party turns to see what has captured their attackers' attention, several of the party are FRIGHTENED The remaining non-frightened members of the party (KELEVRA, ANDREA, JEDEVEZ, MOSS and SHAMIRA) must face the attacking DRACOLICH essentially alone. 

SURPRISE ROUND

• Flying in low and fast from the south, the DRAKOLICH uses it's breath weapon (LIGHTNING) and  kills HIGAR (instantly vaporized) and JETTY (takes double-max hit points) as it approaches.  
• It was about this point in our adventure that the audio recording device went wonky and ... didn't. From here on out, I'm going by memory and manual notes, so feel free to email me with edits of things I forgot or remembered incorrectly.  

ROUND 1

• DRAKOLICH - sweeping down with a tail attack scores a hit on E'SSL for 16 bludgeoning
• KELEVRA - turns into a Lycanthrope
• ANDREA - Run's back 30', turns and fires and misses with bow attack
• MOSS - Lunging attack for 27 points of damage (yay!!!), and loses 3 to a tail attack
• SHAMIRA - Eldridge blasts after ducking behind a formation of Animated Armor, doing 14 damage
• JEDEVES - uses her staff (insert name here :) ), STUNNING the DRACOLICH and doing 6 points of thunder damage.  

ROUND 2

• DRAKOLICH (stunned) can't attack or change course, and glides slowly downward, over the party, toward the forest beyond. 
• KELEVRA RAGE, MOUNT aa, JUMP onto tail
• ANDREA - Sneaks into position behind a formation of Animated Armor and hides, but (I believe) manages to do 30 points of damage with a successful bow sneak attack (If I remember right)
• MOSS - Mounts a mobile pallet atop a formation of Animated Armor and prepares to lunge stab
• SHAMIRA - uses ELDRITCH BLAST for 19 points of force damage!! 
• JEDEVES - fires but misses with a crossbow

RESULTS FROM 10/28 PLAY: 

• HIGAR and JETTY are dead
• The party has formed up to defend itself against the airborn  assault, striking back for a total of 96 hp against the DRACOLICH
